This is a bit of a double-edged sword. With Phone Detective, you enter “any cell or unlisted number.” So I entered my own, which is both. Apparently the data listed below is available for purchase:

Full Report includes available information for:

Owner’s name and address

Household members

People search results

And more!

One can purchase a report for a single number for $14.95 or a premium membership to the service for $39.95.

I can see where this would be helpful for people such as landlords trying to collect from former tenants who broke leases or did major damage to property. However, it could be problematic in the case of someone trying to get away from a stalker.

Personally, I have my number unlisted because I don’t want to be bothered by solicitors. It doesn’t help as much as one might hope. I never pick up my phone unless I know who is on the other end.

Privacy in this society is an illusion.

Below are the comments I left on the post:

The drawback with Blogger is the fact that one does not really “own” one’s blog. However, one can write about a variety of topics, including adult subject matter. It is easy to customize the templates to get your own “look.” Blogger is the easiest, in my opinion, for those whose HTML/design skills are none to novice.
My affiliate blog (http://www.wealthyhealthywise.info/blog) is a Word Press blog, and I like being able to choose to show a “post snippet” rather than the whole post, so readers can see more posts at once. I find it difficult to control the look of my Word Press blog, however. There will probably be many experienced Word Press users that will laugh at me for this, but it is my feeling on the matter.
It is probably a good thing that I have to be choosy about what I put in the sidebars because of the limited number of “slots” for displaying items. I did tend to overkill when I had my Blogger blog. This is a dead blog, but people can look at it if they like to see what I mean. (http://killmyjob.blogspot.com)
I really did not care for Livejournal or TypePad (which didn’t make the list, but in my opinion is very similar to Livejournal) when I tried them. I have never tried Posterous or Tumblr, the other two on the list, and thus cannot comment on their user-friendliness, which for me is the most important thing in a blog platform. I possess only very basic HTML and web design skills. Someday maybe, a class to improve these. Till then, I’ll stick to what’s easy!

I did not include this in my comment, but one thing I prefer with Wordpress as opposed to Blogger is the ability to direct the link to open in a new page. With Blogger, it always opens in the same page, which can be irritating. Here is a little trick for those of you new to web surfing. Mouse over or highlight the link you want to surf to, right click, and select “copy link location.” Then paste the link into a new browser tab or window and, voila! You keep open the page you were looking at, and open the new page as well.

By the way, I had actually been using the Internet for a number of years before I figured this out, so don’t feel bad if you find yourself saying “duh! Why didn’t I think of that before?” I know that’s what I said!

If you have any thoughts on your favorite blogging platform, feel free to share them with Mashable–or me!

To your success,

Hello readers. Until the end of December, Options Xpress has a great offer available for new customers, but you must sign up via invitation from a current Options Xpress customer. I have five of these invitations available for me to give away, and if you would like one, please email me at jobkillercie@gmail.com and I will send one to you.

Please feel free to check out Options Xpress first. Shop around and compare them to other online stock trading companies. If you like what you see, email me and let me send you an invitation. They will put $100 into your new account for you to use to make your first trades with them.

I have been with Options Xpress since 2004 and have never been disappointed. They are a legitimate online stock trading company. They have been in business since February of 2000. They don’t make any promises that they can make you rich–that’s up to your own skills and luck. But they give you the tools to check out stocks and make trades. They do offer a “test drive” so you can determine if they are right for you. There are no monthly fees for holding an account with Options Xpress.

I am still looking for the penny stock that will be the next Xerox. But while I search, I am glad that I can feel confident placing my investments with a secure, honest online broker. If you are an investor or potential investor, they may just be the right company for you too.

Again, if you would like an invitation to open an account with Options Xpress and get $100 in your new account to start trading, please email jobkillercie@gmail.com

I will not use your email address for any reason other than to send you an invitation.

I don’t like to put pressure on people, but in this case there’s a legitimate reason to act quickly. Options Xpress is only offering this benefit until December 31. So if you want in, let me know ASAP. There is no obligation should you decide to receive an invitation.

To your success,

As an affiliate marketer still striving to find a few Big Ones to make my life easier, I’m willing to try just about anything as long as it doesn’t cost me too much to try it. I have seen numerous Alert Pay randomizers and until now have never been willing to give any of them a shot. But Scandic Dollar is owned by the same group that owns Scandinavian Aces, which is one of my favorite viral ad and text exchanges and has been in business for years. I know they are honest, so I thought I’d give it a try.

Here is how it works. You pay $8 to the sponsor, which is the person whose name appears on the main page. You then pay $5 to the company for hosting and promotion fees. That’s it, unless you wish to pay an upgrade fee to give more weight to your ad.

Randomizers are legal, and apparently some people do make money from them, but do not make the mistake of thinking of them as an actual business. It is really more a game of chance with a modicum of skill involved. A valid comparison might be video poker, which involves a little skill and a lot of luck. Though you will lose far less money becoming involved with honest randomizer sites than you would playing video poker.

The best way to success as a member of a randomizer is promoting your affiliate URL. The more people coming to your randomizer page, the better chance you have of building a downline. You get $8 from each of the people who become part of your downline at Level I. You also earn a small amount from each person who signs up under your Level I.

Many traffic exchanges allow you to promote your Randomizer URL, but some have rules against this. If you decide to use traffic exchanges, check their terms and conditions.

Viral text ad exchanges are great places to promote your Randomizer URL’s. Scandinavian Aces is one of my favorite viral text ad exchanges. I have been a member for three years now. They are an honest, well-established exchange. You can join for free or upgrade your account for a one-time fee. It is important to know that you are dealing with a solid business when it comes to your monetary transactions and your promotional choices.

As my alter-ego Lily Strange, I write fiction. My chosen publisher is Outskirts Press. If you are thinking of publishing a book, now is the time to get set up to do so. Until the end of September, if you pay for your publishing package, you will get up to 30 author’s copies to be used for promotion. If you have never promoted a book before, this is huge! Wholesale copies of my book cost $11.50 each. I’m not good at math, but I do know that 30 times 11 is 330. That’s a savings of more than $330 in promotional book purchases, and I have purchased at least 50 promotional copies of my current novel.
If you’re thinking about it, don’t keep thinking, just do it! Even if your book isn’t ready, you can purchase your package. There are several different choices to fit any budget. I’m not one for doing the hard sell, and Outskirts Press always has good promotions, but this will amount to big savings for you when promoting your published book. I encourage you to take advantage of this deal before its too late.

One of the main problems with pay-per-click advertising is the issue of click fraud. Pay-per-click advertising is a two way street. Not only do website owners pay a search engine, such as Google, to rank high in search engines for a certain keyword, but the same site very often puts Google ads on the site as well. Every time a Google ad is clicked, the site owner makes money, usually pennies on a click.

Putting Google ads on your own site is a way to offset the cost of pay-per-click advertising. What you lose in money from a click from a search engine you’ll make back in a click to a search engine. Click fraud occurs when the site owner himself clicks on Google ads on his site, in effect paying himself. A few clicks a day probably isn’t going to make much of a dent, but if Google registers a large number of clicks coming from the same ISP, it can be a serious problem.

It can also be a problem for advertisers with businesses that are smaller than Google who absolutely cannot absorb the amount of money lost due to click fraud. The money from click fraud can really add up. If you owe 50 cents per click on an ad, imagine if the site owner clicks on the ad 100 times or more a day. This could easily enter the triple figures by the end of the month.

Click fraud can also occur with advertising, a cost per click for each time an advertisement is clicked. If this is a concern, consider switching to a cost-per-impression—each time an ad is viewed—which cannot be fooled in the same way. While you won’t find click fraud as often for search engine marketing, it is still possible. For example, a competitor might click on your Google Adwords links to charge you for the click—it’s a way to scare off the competition. This practice is unscrupulous, but it has been known to happen.

The main way to gauge if click fraud is occurring is to check your pay-per-click log. If there has been a number of clicks all from the same IP address, or even the same general location, this should send up a warning flag. What this means is that you need to install tracking tools on your site to monitor where clicks are coming from and where they’re going. You are the first line of defense for stopping click fraud from occurring on your site.

It sounds like a storyline of a bad movie – you meet your partner and fall in love, preparing to live happily ever after. Perhaps you even manage to live out your fairy tale life for an extended period of time. Maybe you get married and have children, or take off together to explore the world.

The hidden secrets your lover heart’s holds
Suddenly one day, your whole world comes crashing down around you. Perhaps you learn your partner was involved in some shady business dealings and now has the law after him. Maybe he or she was married before, and you find yourself confronted by a jilted spouse. Or perhaps your lover owes a tremendous amount of money to his debtors.
Every day, people learn life-altering facts about their spouses. Secrets that have been hidden for years come roaring back with a hearty vengeance. In a matter of a moment, everything you believed to be true has changed.
How do you handle such situations? Better yet, how do you prevent them from happening to you in the first place?
You can always try a search of your partner’s name on the Internet, but will it really give you the information you need?
Protecting yourself – and your heart – with a private investigation
A simple background check can be done through the use of public records. These checks reveal important information about someone’s past. You can easily find out if your lover has ever been married or owes child support, has ever been arrested, or was sued in court.
By playing sleuth on your own, you can find out important information that will ward off any future surprises in your relationship. The most effective way to do this is to enlist the power of the Internet.
The biggest obstacle you will run into during your online investigation is determining where to begin looking to find the information you want. Rather than spending hours searching thousands of websites or databases, simplify things by utilizing one of the online services for personal background checks, such as Net Detective.
With a specialized product such as Net Detective, you can access millions of records from all over the country. Even if your partner fled another state to escape his or her problems, you will be able to easily and quickly uncover those secrets.
Save yourself from becoming entangled in a situation that could prove to be costly, heartbreaking, or downright dangerous by unearthing your partner’s secrets now. After all, knowledge is power, and knowing your partner’s past gives you the power to plan for your own future.

If you or someone you know is a great cook with a lot of special recipes, I want to show you how to finally do something with all those recipes. It seems that many people have thought about creating a cookbook but didn’t know where to start. People think it’s too time consuming or expensive.
After personally publishing five cookbooks and independently selling over 30,000 copies, best selling author Ron Douglas decided to give back by teaching others his system for writing and promoting a best selling cookbook.

It’s a lot easier and inexpensive than you think. For details – <a href="If you or someone you know is a great cook with a lot of special recipes, this is important. I want to show you how to finally do something with all those recipes.

After personally publishing five cookbooks and independently selling over 30,000 copies, best selling author Ron Douglas decided to give back by teaching others his system for writing and promoting a best selling cookbook.

It's a lot easier and inexpensive than you think. For details - Click Here
It’s the same process and resources he has used to publish 5 cookbooks and independently sell over 30,000 copies starting with less than $125.

I highly recommend this course because it’s reasonably priced and covers everything you need to know to publish your own cookbook and turn a profit within 60 days.
You don’t need a lot of money to start. You don’t need to be a good writer. You don’t even need to be technically savvy. All you really need is a good idea and some recipes that people want – the rest can be inexpensively done for you using resources on the Internet.

And, as crazy as it sounds, Ron claims to have developed a system that anyone can use for creating and publishing a cookbook in under 30 days and for under $300. This system includes an exact blueprint you can use to sell at least 250 copies of your cookbook in the next 60 days. At an average of $15 per book, you can do the math. Sell for fundraisers or even on Amazon.com.

Debunking the Myths of Wholesale Buying

Written by SaleHoo.com © All Rights Reserved

Buying and selling wholesale goods is frequently viewed as a sort of ‘get rich quick’ scheme, where sellers can make enormous profits from very little investment or work. Three months after they started, people just don’t understand why things haven’t gone according to plan! There are four myths in particular that seem to lead would-be sellers astray time and time again.

Myth #1: Ebay is the best place to sell your wholesale goods.

Now this is a particularly popular one. As the world’s biggest marketplace, eBay has made its fair share of millionaires. What you don’t hear about so commonly, is all the people who struggle to make a profit from eBay because 100 other people are selling the exact same products – for more competitive prices.

This is not a new situation. Supermarkets and large discount stores often run at a loss on some items in order to attract more customers. For small or new sellers, this is a deadly scenario.

The fact is, eBay is simply too competitive in some categories. Electronics, jewelry, designer clothing and computer games are all dangerous territory for the new seller. You won’t stand a chance against established sellers who’ve already got a strong following and highly competitive prices.

So what should you do? If your product falls into these or any other highly competitive category, I recommend shifting your focus to less competitive markets such as selling through classified newspapers in your local area.

While you won’t be reaching audiences of the size that online auctions sites such as eBay provide, buyers that use these alternative mediums to purchase goods are 9 out of 10 times more likely to pay significantly more for products. Not only will your margins can be much higher, you’ll also have far less competition to deal with.

It’s also a good idea to try using eBay international sites such as www.ebay.co.uk or www.ebay.com.au, as well as other auction sites with less competition such as www.trademe.co.nz and www.ubid.com. I find that these sites give consistently higher margins compared to eBay US, and the number of buyers is still very high.

One advantage of eBay US however, is that the huge amount of competition makes it a brilliant place to pick up cheap as dirt goods to sell elsewhere! It’s not uncommon to find best prices on eBay.

Myth #2: You can find all your wholesale sources online.

The Internet provides easy access to a great many wholesalers these days, and it’s a quick way of making initial contacts. However, it certainly doesn’t provide access to all wholesalers. If you’re serious about finding the best wholesale prices for your products, then it pays to check out other sources as well.

Try looking through trade magazines such as Closeout News and Wholesale Merchandise, to name just a few. With less people vying for stock, there’s a good chance you’ll find some exceedingly good prices tucked away in the corners!

And another thing, in my experience, building up personal relationships with sellers is absolutely essential for getting the best priced goods. So whether you’ve found your supplier online or in a magazine, make a phone call, start up an email exchange, or have regular chats on MSN and get to know them.

The time you spend building a relationship will not only mean you’re in a stronger position to get better prices, but, because you know your supplier, you’ll be more confident that things will go smoothly when you finally do place your order.

Myth #3: Pricing research is unnecessary and takes up too much valuable time.

Whenever I mention this one, people always chorus:’But of course we know research is important!’ Well why don’t you spend more time doing it then?

The amount of people that pass over pricing research constantly amazes me. Everyone always agrees that it is important to research prices, but when it comes down to it, they seem to think that they just ‘know’ how much items cost wholesale, and how much profit they are likely to make later.

But how can they just ‘know’? This is not information we’re given at birth!(Or perhaps I’m just unlucky!) Prices are constantly in flux, and carrying out some decent (and yes, time-consuming) research is essential to a successful business for two important reasons:

1. Firstly, it’s important to get a good idea of the average resale price for your item before you get started. For a number of popular items (DVDs, electronics and computer games in particular), the profit margins tend to be very low. Despite this, many sellers just see the popularity of the item and dive in head first. Overly-saturated markets just mean a hell of a lot of work for very little in return. Throw big, established sellers into the mix and it’s almost impossible to compete. But you won’t know this until you research it first! So visit auction sites, read classified ads and any material you can get your hands on until you have a good idea of exactly what you’re going to get.

2. The second reason for research is that your preconceptions of value may be completely wrong. People have a tendency to believe that ‘wholesale’ automatically means a fifth of the retail price. This is usually totally out of line! Some sellers have emailed me in shock when they realize that they actually have to spend a significant amount of money on their wholesale stock. ‘I always thought that purchasing a container of wholesale plasma TVs would only require a few hundred dollars investment, but it looks more like several thousand,’ wailed one seller recently, ‘Am I looking in the wrong place?’ Well, I’m sorry to shatter your hopes and dreams, but buying wholesale doesn’t always mean huge profits for very little investment. For some items, such a scenario is possible – but only if you do the research!

Myth #4: Niche items can be bought from individual wholesalers.

Finding a niche item that no-one else is supplying at a competitive rate is every sellers dream. However, if you think you’re going to be able to find a wholesaler supplier for the item by doing a quick Internet search for ‘Left-handed Guitar necks’ then you couldn’t be more wrong.

Niche products are hard to find precisely because they aren’t wanted by absolutely everybody. Thus, finding a supplier will take quite a bit of work on your behalf as these items usually can’t be purchased from individual wholesalers. Instead, you’ll have to contact large wholesalers, or even contact the manufacturer directly.

It’ll be a lot harder than you think, but if you’ve done your market research effectively and you take the time to find a good supplier, then your hard work will pay off.
