This is a bit of a double-edged sword. With Phone Detective, you enter “any cell or unlisted number.” So I entered my own, which is both. Apparently the data listed below is available for purchase:
Full Report includes available information for:
- Owner’s name and address
- Household members
- People search results
- And more!
One can purchase a report for a single number for $14.95 or a premium membership to the service for $39.95.
I can see where this would be helpful for people such as landlords trying to collect from former tenants who broke leases or did major damage to property. However, it could be problematic in the case of someone trying to get away from a stalker.
Personally, I have my number unlisted because I don’t want to be bothered by solicitors. It doesn’t help as much as one might hope. I never pick up my phone unless I know who is on the other end.
Privacy in this society is an illusion.
